Location: Region X ESC, in the Hunt Room, 904 Abrams Rd, Richardson, TX 75081
July 30, from 9a—4p

Holocaust and Genocide Education for High School is a workshop created to provide resources and background material for teachers following the recently edited TEKS and the content of the new testing in the areas of the Holocaust and other 20th century genocides. The curriculum presented in this workshop, Upstanders in the Holocaust and Other Genocides, uses mainly primary documents and offers basic Holocaust history and pedagogy, accompanied by information on the other 20th century genocides. This curriculum focuses on those who resisted and rescued, and is an excellent teaching tool to combat bullying. This curriculum is recommended for ELA, social studies, art, and other disciplines, for grades 9 - 12. There is no fee, and registration is limited.
