Discover how three Dallas history museums have turned the West End Historic District into a discovery classroom filled with stories of ordinary people responding to extraordinary situations. Assess the process by which individuals become leaders and leaders become legends using a collaborative curriculum developed by these museum partners. Learn about a special leadership curriculum developed by The Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Tolerance and Education, The Old Red Museum of Dallas County History & Culture and The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. Hear about a discounted ticket opportunity to visit all three museums, available September 2012- February 2013 on a first-come, first-served basis. Discover how simple and easy it is to schedule a history visit in the West End for your students, and get a unique introduction to resources available from each museum that will help make the visit a success. Teachers leave with materials to take back to the classroom including a free resource CD with a leadership curriculum, lesson plans, images, and exhibition gallery guides. There is no fee, but you must register.
