Previous Orientation Events

Museum Visit Orientations are for educators who are considering bringing their students to the museum and for those who have already scheduled a visit.  The orientation includes a tour of the present
exhibit by museum staff, explanation of tour options and procedures, and a variety of educational materials that have been prepared by museum staff for the use of Holocaust educators using the Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Education and Tolerance as an extension of the classroom. Thanks to the generous support of The MB & Edna Zale Foundation as well as the Greater Dallas Jewish Federation there is no charge for attending an orientation, but you must be registered. The DHM/CET is a certified provider of CPE’s.

Yom Hashoah Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony, Congregation Shearith Israel

Previous Workshops & Seminars

Full day workshops and seminars supported by The MB & Edna Zale Foundation as well as the Sam Roosth Foundation. are presented throughout the year both at the museum and at off-site locations.  The workshops include historical background on the Holocaust, use of primary documents, pedagogy, and curriculum use and development.  Topics and curricula will vary. There is no registration fee for the workshops, and in many cases, a continental breakfast and light lunch will be provided.  Attendees will receive certificates of CPE’s earned.
