In The News: Museum Attracts Media Coverage

Dallas Morning News columnist Robert Miller devoted his November 10th column to the Museum’s recent Hope for Humanity Dinner, honoring Roger Staubach.

Roger Staubach’s selection as the 2010 Hope for Humanity Honoree was also distributed on PRNewsWire and received mentions on 178 web sites, including Yahoo and Forbes.

Best-selling Biographer Eric Metaxas’ well-attended October 11th Museum lecture on the life of Holocaust Upstander Dietrich Bonhoeffer drew media notice, including this Religion Blog post on DallasNews.com

The reunion at the Museum on October 9th of a group of World War II POWs who spent time at the Oflag 64 POW camp in Szubin, Poland drew positive media coverage from The Dallas Morning News, WFAA-TV (Ch.8), The Dallas Observer and other local media. A graduate student from the University of Missouri also prepared a YouTube video of the visit.

Travel writer Sandra Scott described the Museum as a “powerful museum with an unusual approach to the Holocaust” in a September 25th feature story for Creators.com, the Web site of Creators Syndicate, which syndicates columns, cartoons and other features for media around the globe.

The Museum’s co-sponsorship of A Film Unfinished at Dallas VideoFest on September 24 was noted in an article in the SMU Daily Campus.

The Museum’s participation in Smithsonian Magazine’s annual Museum Day was featured on the Arts Blog of DallasNews.com on September 22.
