Spring Fundraiser: Driving Miss Daisy

SUNDAY, APRIL 15, 2018

1 P.M. Pre-Show Reception | 2 P.M. Driving Miss Daisy
Eisemann Center | 2351 Performance Drive | Richardson, TX 75082

Event Co-Chairs: ABBY FUQUA, YANA MINTSKOVSKY and JOLENE RISCH

In partnership with the Eisemann Center , the Dallas Holocaust Museum presents the closing performance of Alfred Uhry’s beloved Academy Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy!

This award-winning, Off-Broadway play combines heart, humor, and hope in this portrait of a friendship between a Southern Jewish widow and a proud, soft-spoken African-American man. Over the course of 25 years, these two people observe race relations in the South and come to understand each other on a profound, life-altering level.

Driving Miss Daisy poignantly embodies the Museum’s imperative mission to educate about the past, to build understanding and respect amongst us, and to inspire Upstander behavior – to speak up against acts of prejudice, hatred, and indifference, especially when the easiest course is to do nothing.

Starring Sheree J. Wilson and Clarence Gilyard-- stars of Dallas and Walker, Texas Ranger
